The Carian Trail is an 800 km long distance walking path exploring Southwest Turkey through the modern provinces of Muğla and Aydın. The trail is named after the Carian civilization discovering a region rich in ancient ruins and history, stone paved caravan roads and mule path connecting villages from the coast to a mountainous hinterland. Pine forest Cloak Mountain slopes whilst olive terraces and almond grove are an important part of the region’s economy. The trail accesses a lesser known and unspoiled region full of color and tradition for all to enjoy. The trail is signed and waymarked according to international standards allowing both independent and group travelers to hike and enjoy the scenic beauty and cultural treasures of Caria.
Your accommodation for the week will be on board of one our ships where you will be well catered for by traditional cuisine. Accommodation on board is for 20 to 36 guests, at one time, in double cabins each with private en-suite. This is an opportunity to discover a country in an original way, without having to pack your bags every step of the way. Activities each day are performed at a leisurely pace as we find it of utmost importance that our guests have time to form their experiences and to enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
